Basic Child Support Calculation Table § 3119.021 (2003)
Use the information in the below table to fill in the Child Support Calculation Worksheet (see "forms" section on home page) After completing the form you know what child support would be if ordered by the court. Another way to obtain a rough estimate more quickly is to add the mother’s and the father’s income. Locate that figure along the left column in the table. Find the number in the column corresponding to the number of children you have with the other parent. Then, multiply the table figure by the percentage the payor’s income is to the sum total income of the parents.
For example, if the Parents earn $100,000 combined gross income, have two children, and Mother is the payor, earning 40% of the total income of the two parties, you would multiply 40% x 16583 = $6,633 per year.
The rough calculation above does not account for health insurance paid by either party, other children of either party with another parent, other child support paid, work related child care, tax deductions and credits, or local income taxes paid. If you want the exact figure you must use the worksheet.
