Question:
In Ohio, if one does not specifically mention willing ownership of itemsto a child, (in their will) does the child have claim? Is it best todenote that one leaves specifically named child nothing?

Answer:
If you want to disinherit someone, the most clear way to do so is to be explicit in stating your wishes in the will. He won't be around to ask after his death. I highly recommend being explicit. Alternatively, you could leave them a token amount, such as $1.00 to make your intentions clear. It isn't absolutely necessary, but the more clear one is, the better.
