Question:
If my lawyer quits in the middle of a personal injury case do I still have to pay him/her?
Answer:
If the lawyer quits the case, you have an argument not to pay, but it depends primarily upon the contract you signed with the lawyer. If the lawyer quit due to something which you failed to disclose at the outset, or during the representation, or due to a conflict of interest, then you may still have to pay for the work actually done plus expenses like filing fees.
